To help combat the second most significant environmental factor impacting the health of Europeans, we develop advanced technologies and innovative products dedicated to noise reduction.

We are an engineering company specializing in acoustic and aerodynamic research and development, driven by values of scientific rigor, transparency, and commitment. Our research and engineering activities are based on our expertise in additive manufacturing, acoustic materials and metamaterials, and numerical modeling: as COMSOL Multiphysics experts, we use multiphysics simulation to analyze, design, and optimize acoustic solutions. Our approach to problems is guided by our analysis of the needs of individuals and industries, enabling us to design relevant and applicable solutions.

Founded in 2023 in Le Mans (Sarthe), our French deeptech company is part of a dynamic of collaboration on a European scale. It is supported by Le Mans Innovation and Le Village by CA, and is a member of Réseau Initiative Sarthe and the EMC2 and ID4Mobility competitiveness clusters. It has partnerships with industry players such as Almacoustic and Sound Hub Denmark.

Sil&Add has its origins in the thesis of its founder, Jean Boulvert:

"From 2017 to 2020, I worked with the Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans (LAUM - UMR CNRS 6613), the Laboratoire d'Analyse Vibratoire et Acoustique de Polytechnique Montréal (LAVA), and French engine manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines.

My research focused on the development of new acoustic materials to reduce noise in future aircraft engines, using additive manufacturing. This work led to the creation of materials with remarkable acoustic and mechanical properties.

Following this thesis, and a year as a post-doc, I embarked on the Sil&Add adventure!"
